Adopter Program
The Cadence Adopter Program pairs project maintainers with teams that are bringing Cadence into production. Maintainers work with you until your Cadence clusters are successfully provisioned. The program is free, offered for the community's success, and subject to maintainer availability on a first come, first served basis.
Why we offer this
We want to improve how Cadence is provisioned and operated. Working alongside real adopters shows us where documentation, automation, and operational guidance fall short. First-hand deployment experience helps us remove friction for the next team, and for the project as a whole.
How to request assistance
Open an Adopter onboarding issue in the Cadence server repository and complete the form. The issue is public, so share only information you are comfortable publishing. Do not include credentials, customer data, or confidential architecture details. You can note that a detail needs private follow-up.
Request Adopter Program assistance
The form asks for organization context, use case, expected scale, environment, persistence and visibility choices, launch timing, and where you need help. Fill in what you know. "Not decided yet" is a valid answer.
Prefer a private channel? Send a direct message on CNCF Slack to a TSC member. Bring the same context the issue form asks for so maintainers can assess fit and capacity.
Who it is for
The program is for organizations that intend to run Cadence themselves in production, whether they are evaluating Cadence, running a test cluster, or starting a production deployment. You do not need a finished architecture to apply. Estimates and open questions are expected.
If you only need answers to a specific question, use Contact Us or ask in #cadence-users on CNCF Slack. The Adopter Program is for sustained help through production provisioning.
What maintainers help with
Maintainers help you plan and complete production provisioning. Typical topics include:
- Choosing persistence, visibility, and deployment options for your environment
- Reviewing cluster configuration, capacity estimates, and operational requirements
- Walking through provisioning steps with your team to understand the experience end to end
- Working through blockers as you stand up staging and production clusters
- Pointing you at the right documentation, samples, and project issues
Your team provides and operates the infrastructure and covers any associated costs. Maintainer time is free. Cadence maintainers do not run your cluster for you, and this program is not a managed hosting or paid support offering.
Availability
Assistance depends on maintainer capacity. Requests are handled in submission order as capacity becomes available. A requested launch date does not reserve capacity or guarantee a deadline.
What happens next
- Maintainers review your request and may ask clarifying questions.
- When capacity is available, a maintainer confirms that onboarding can start.
- You agree on next steps and track progress toward a provisioned production cluster.
If your organization is comfortable being listed publicly, you may also open a pull request to add it under Evaluating / Early Adopters in ADOPTERS.md. That step is optional and separate from this program.
